Dismissal

Dismissal:

  • Dismissal begins at 2:50pm.
  • Students not picked up by 3:00 pm will be brought to the front office and their parent/guardian should come to the front door to sign them out.

Walkers:

  • Walkers will dismiss from the pavilion behind the school at 2:50pm.
  • Teachers will walk classes out to pavilion and line up facing the field.
  • Parents must make contact with teacher to retrieve students.
  • At this time, we ask that parents move off the field after dismissal, and do not linger.
  • Students not picked up by 3pm will be walked to the front office and parents may pick them up there.

*If you are driving, please use the carpool line. We kindly ask that you NOT park and walk up to get your students. Extra parking during dismissal creates congestion on the streets and an unsafe situation for our students and staff. Our carpool line is fast and efficient.

Bus and Van Rider Pick-Up: 

  • Find all CSD bus routes to and from school here
  • Students riding the CSD bus or off-site aftercare vans will be dismissed from the front door of the school when their bus or van arrives
  • If you have questions about buses, please contact Stephanie Clark at sclark@csdecatur.net

Carpool:

  • The carpool line will begin at the orange cone on Inman Ave behind the modulars and service driveway. 
  • Students will be loaded into cars by WP staff at the service driveway on Inman. 
  • WP staff will assist students with opening doors and loading into vehicles.
  • Enter the carpool line from the Shadowmoor-Inman or S. Columbia-Inman areas. 

NOT ALLOWED:

  • Entering the carpool line from the Avery-Bucher area.
  • Leaving your car unattended in the carpool line.
  • Making a U-turn on Inman Ave or Avery.
  • Passing other cars in the carpool line.
